Well transfers came and it looks like someone has to put up with Sista Steve again for her last go around:) introducing Sister Rogers from St. George, Utah!! People have been callings us Captain America for the past couple days and I didn't get why until a four year old did the math for me... Steve + Rogers = Captain America so we must have a really strong companionship going for us!! I am excited for the next transfer and the adventure ahead, I know for a fact it is gonna be a good one!!:)
Change is a really hard thing I have come to know. Transfers are always hard, goodbyes suck, taking over an area is always stressful, but that's what the mission is all about is growing and becoming better. I can always see myself growing and changing no matter my circumstance! I have realized there is always room for improvement and I am doing my best to make sure this is the transfer I improve myself to the best I can!!
At first I kinda beat myself up a lot about it and was really stressed because I have a lot to improve on for these next six weeks. But I slowly realized that God is use to working with imperfect people and that we are all on different levels, transfers, and phases of our lives and that is okay!! I know that I need to strive for continuous improvement, instead of perfection. What is important is to start where you are and go from there always striving to improve every single day!
So I have started where I am and I have seen a lot of change and growth in myself in the last week and ya know its a dang good feeling. My studies have been great, we have been working hard, and I have never been so determined to keep moving forward and never giving up until the very end.
We met a really awesome guy this week named Donovan and we are praying that we can keep a hold of him and be able to start teaching him. He was really excited that we came across his path and has always wondered about the Mormons so I see a lot of potential in this guy:) prayers much needed y'all!!
This Sunday was easily one of THE best Sunday's in my mission. We have been working with a less active for awhile now that has some serious social anxiety and it causes her to not be able to go to church as much because it really is so hard for her to be around other people. But this week we were finallyyyy able to get her to church and it went over so so so well!! The branch did great with her and catered to her needs and she even took over the Gospel Principles class and rocked the lesson!! But THE best part of it all is looking over and seeing my favorite old couple in the whole entire world.. The Landry's from Albany!! They were soooo sweet and decided to surprise me and come to church with me and bring us lunch. It was seriously one of the sweetest things anyone has ever done for me and literally made me the happiest person alive and ended up being exactly what I needed. I love the people here, they make leaving this place that much harder that's for sure!!
Well I hope y'all have the best week and continue to be the amazing people that you are. Thank you for all that you do!! I love you with all my heart!!! xoxoxo
