Tender Mercies

Hey hey hey y'all!! How you doin??:) Well it is officially almost summer here and woaaahhhhh did it come in HOT... Soooo if you happen to see me dripping in sweat and looking a tad bit homeless for the next couple of months don't be too surprised, it's normal!! :)

This week was really good.. Lots of doors shut in our face, lots of sweat, but lots of good moments too! So here are some tender mercies for y'all :)

So I am just gonna start off with my favorite one because my life was forever made... Don't judge:) So on Thursday the ladies from our Bible study were having a party and invited us to go to lunch with them and while driving over the bridge there it was... CHICKFILA!!! I legit cried... Like REAL tears. It was the most pathetic, happiest moment of my life. And I have no shame telling you all of this because it was a tender mercy from the Lord that God is REAL kids!!!

Another tender mercy was my LAST interview with President and Sister Hansen... He did my go-home interview and it was insane... How is this real?? How is this possible?? I don't know, but he gave me a lot of amazing counsel and advice that I really needed at this point in my life. It makes me excited to see what the Lord has in store for me in the months to come:)

Success here is kinda hard to see. Like extremely hard!! But this Sunday made me see that there always is something good to come out of hard days and hard work. The Sullivans's are a part member family and are beyond amazing. Sister Flor Sullivan was baptized a little over a year ago with her sons but the husband hasn't been baptized... Yet!! But so the WHOLE family came to church on Sunday and her husband James came to Gospel Principles with us. The lesson was on tithing so basically its like a missionaries worst nightmare... But it turned out to be soooo sooo good. James, not even being a member, had the GREATEST insights in the class when we were talking about sacrifice. He compared paying our 10% of our income to the Saints who crossed the plains who many of them paid the ultimate sacrifice and just bore his testimony about how he knew that his wife paying tithing was blessing their family.

The spirit was sooo strong. So real. And so powerful. I couldn't help but feel so incredibly grateful for this small but amazing experience that God let me know He is real, He is good, and that He is working with me here in the lovely land of Luling. I love y'all so much. I love this gospel. I love being a missionary. Have the best week y'all <333

With all my Louisiana Love,

Sister Steve:)

PS: Rumor has it a cyclone is coming through here in the next couple days which means... I GET TO GO THROUGH A HURRICANE!!!!! :) #prayers4luling
