I hope y'all had the best Mother's Day! It was sooo great to see those I love most!
Life around here has been kinda weird lately. We seem to be working but it's kinda as if we have hit a stand still with all missionary work these days. But then we had a couple break through moments that made the week that much better!
Sister Erickson... Seriously one of my most favorite less actives I have ever worked with!! We have been working really hard with her the last couple of months but it kinda got to the point where she had to make the decision for herself, the desire was there but the willingness to put into effect.. Not so much!! But then this past week was SO amazing with her!! On Fast and Testimony meeting she stood up and bore her testimony for the first time in FIFTEEN YEARS!!! You could tell that she had finally decided for herself what she wanted to do. We had an awesome lesson and told us that she talked to Bishop and is on track to be able to get back to the temple in six months and is planning on doing her husband's temple work and getting sealed to him.
Sister Lynch... The SWEETEST person this world will ever know. She just moved back into our ward and reached out to us to help her quit smoking and get her back to the temple as well. We set lots of goals and ways to reach them and you can just tell that her desire is more then there and it's so amazing to be able to help her get that much closer to her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ.
I have learned over the past couple of months that everything takes time. Despite my extreme impatience (thank you Bradly) I have come to know that the problem is we sometimes give up so easily when we don't see that instant result. But in Ecclesiastes 3:11 it answered a lot of questions and prayers for me, "He hath made every thing beautiful in His time.." I know that it truly is all in God's timing. As much as I would like to help them get there, show them how to do it, or simply do it for them, I know that God truly is in the details and is doing it all on His timing. When we trust in God and lean on Him, He will turn us and those around us into the individuals that we are ever so striving to be. Jeffrey R. Holland once said "Trust in God hold on to His love know that one day the dawn will break brightly and all the shadows of mortality will flee."
I know that God never gives up on us and neither should we, that everything truly does become beautiful in His timing and in His ways! Have the best week y'all!! I love y'all ohhh so much!!:)
