Spiritual Uplifted

Hey hey hey y'all!! Another week gone, how is that even possible? I feel like this week flew by! Lots of meetings, exchanges, and good ol' General Conference! It was even more special to see some people I know and love!!

It was a really special week for me because I got three of my favorite things all piled into one week!

One: The good old land of Covington! Oh how I miss that place and all the people that helped me as a missionary. It's always a bittersweet experience to go back! Although I wasn't there for more then 16 hours it still was a highlight of my week! AND Sister Wood taught me how to shuffle.. Only took me 21 years but it happened!!

Second: How often do you get to be a missionary and be with your best friend all at the same time?? It's probably my favorite thing about exchanges to be able to be with the one and only MiKayla Meador. My mission has given me so many amazing blessings in my life but this sister is definitely up there. She has been there for me since DAY ONE and continues to be my number one fan through it all. I have learned a lot from her and her strong, moving testimony and she is truly my "thinspiration".

Third: CONFERENCE!!! It is crazy how so many prayers can be answered in a matter of hours. There is nothing better then General Conference. I truly did feel as if the leaders of our church were speaking to me personally. I had sooo many favorites but the one I think I loved most was President Uchtdorf's. Many of you may already more but I am a very worried person, "scared of my own shadow" as Bradly would say! But I think my mission has helped me beyond measure overcome this weakness I had. Our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ want us to do much more then to change our behavior, but to change our nature, to change our hearts. He wants us to confront our fears and bravely step forward, and upwards. He wants this from us because He loves us!

I have seen this happen time over time again on my mission. When I have let go of my fears, my worries, and my doubts and have relied 110% on my Heavenly Father and my Savior Jesus Christ to fill in those gaps, that's when I have seen my heart change far more then my behavior itself. I am so grateful for our inspired leaders of the church. I love them, honor them, and sustain them 100%. I hope y'all all got answers to prayers and  things that we can all improve and work on because we know there is no comfort in the growth zone and no growth in the comfort zone! I love y'all so much and hope you have the best of the best of weeks:)
