An Elder's Dad from California owns a sheet rocking business and asked President Hansen if he could come here and bring his crew with him and start putting back together people's houses! So he brought a crew with him and they have been staying in the mission home and they are ALL non members! Not very often will you drive by the mission home and see people drinking beer on the front porch! Classic... But anyways a couple missionaries were able go help and we were the lucky ones! It was seriously so fun and i got to learn how to do sheet rock (wife me up) and we got to have some awesome conversations with the workers. So many of them felt the spirit and the difference it made them feel and we have about six referrals for California now so that was an amazing blessing!
The Elder's in our zone had a baptism this week and so we invited Sharron to come with us! She was soooo excited! Like she was making a countdown that's how excited she was! The baptism went great and she met a whole bunch of people and made new friends! After the baptism she asked if we could just stay in the church for a little bit because she just couldn't get enough of the Spirit. She is too golden...
She told us how she is SO excited to get baptized and how the only thing from keeping her out was that she needs to quit smoking. It is crazy how prepared she is and how God puts prepared people in our paths when you are doing the things on your part.
I love being a missionary and being able to see all the amazing things that come along with it. Thank y'all for all your love and support and I hope y'all have the best week imaginable!! Much love!
