It was a pretty dang good week here in Covington yet again! We have been tracting a lot and almost always get let in even if the people aren't interested because it is so hot and people "feel bad for the Mormon nuns" :) It is pretty awesome even if we don't always see the greatest success because there really are some amazing people out in this world!
I will be completely honest with y'all for a little bit! I have been super frustrated ever since we have dropped all of our investigators because it's sometimes hard to see your fruits unless they are placed right in front of you. So I am or not have been throwing myself a pity party because we aren't teaching anyone regularly and haven't had people come to church in a couple weeks. I have done a lot of praying and have been asking Heavenly Father to just let me see that I am doing good. That I really am not the crappy missionary that I think I am sometimes. So after a couple of weeks I was still thinking I was a crappy missionary and still throwing myself a pity party.
Sitting in sacrament meeting I am looking around and I see two less actives that I have been working with ever since I have got here and I was so happy they were at church. Bishop bore his testimony about how we sometimes have to leave the 99 sheep in order to carry that one back on our shoulders and it really humbled me for sure. Sometimes bringing those back to the church can be just as important and I never really thought about how important it was that we had helped these two ladies make their way back to church. It really was so awesome and made me realize that even if it doesn't always look like you are making progress you never know the people that you have impacted along the way.
So it has given me a new motto on my mission that to know that if one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to truly have succeeded. So I just challenge y'all to keep being an example and a light in others lives because you really never know the impact that you can make on those people in your life.
Thank you for all your prayers, encouragement and love. I am so blessed with the greatest people in Utah and Louisiana! I love y'all so much and hope you have a happy, safe Fourth to July! :)
Emailing on the 4th.
Happy 4th of July!!!
