Transfers Round 4

Well hey there friends and family:) it is transfers week and Heavenly Father just loves me so much that He let me stay in Covington yet again and I can't even tell you how happy that makes me! This area has some amazing people and I love serving them and helping them as much as I can come to be closer to Christ! It is what we like to call the Zion of Louisiana and I am so grateful to be staying!

This week was kind of really slow because I was recovering from one serious virus that whipped all energy whatsoever out of me so we didn't start missionary work till Thursday so I am sorry if this email is going to bore you! But we did have one super awesome experience that I would love to share with y'all!

So we have been teaching a young guy named Daniel who has Aspergers for a little over six months now and he is super awesome! There were a bunch of kids in school making fun of him and there was two kids that always tried to be his friend and stick up for him and they just so happened to be in our ward and he wanted to know a little more about the LDS church because of them! Super cool right?? He is a great kid and is so so so smart! He remembers everything you tell him and loves to read the Bible and Book of Mormon! He has had a lot of stress lately because anything bad that happens in the world totally sets him off and he really struggles. Due to the recent shootings and his cat dying he literally just felt so alone and frustrated with God. So his mom gave us a call and asked if we could come by and try to help him out!

He has such high standards and morals that it is so hard for him to see all the bad things going on and just didn't understand how all these bad things could happen. We had a really good chat with him about how God has put us on this earth to experience these trials and these hardships because He wants us to become better from it and how He wants us to live in the world, but not of it. It was really awesome because his whole attitude changed and he felt so much better about life and about how he lives his life!

It made me realize that just by being a good example and following the standards of the church really can affect other peoples lives! When we are trying to live by the gospel standards it really will help not only us but those we come in contact with!

I hope y'all have the greatest week ever and continue to be a light in other people's lives because you sure have been a light in mine! I love y'all so much!!
