Happy in LA

Helloooo to the greatest people out there:) I hope yall have had an awesome week and are enjoying your summer! 

Its been yet another hot and awesome week here in Covington:) Each week really does get better and better! I just love being a missionary and being with these people so much! There really is nothing greater then being a missionary I am convinced!

We had a really cool experience happen earlier this week! We get a call from a former less active member in our ward explaining that her brother who is not a member was in the ICU and she was stressing out because she couldn't make it there to go see him and asked if we would stop by and check on him! So we do just that and drop by to see him and he was really open and thankful we dropped in to check on him. I asked him if he would like a priesthood blessing and he accepted!

So we got the elders to come over and give him a blessing and the man was in tears afterwards. He explained that he felt something but he had no idea what it was. They explained to him how the Holy Ghost works and he was super interested in hearing more so we will be checking up with him as soon as he gets out of the hospital! 

I know that the power of the Holy Ghost is so real and that it plays so many different roles. He comforts us, protects us, testifies of truth to us, and shows us how much God really does love us. I know that without the Spirit I really would be useless and I know that has been the greatest help and comfort to me on my mission!

Sooo big girl wanted ice cream real bad and ended up getting caught in the storm in the parking lot.. I was soaked down to the g's

But I got my ice cream so thats all that matters:)

 I will forever be grateful for Louisiana because I have gained a booty:) hahahaha
