Transfer Week

Helllloooo Fam and Friends:) this week was transfer week so it has kind of been really the most craziest, hectic week of our lives as well!  

Tuesday and Wednesday we had transfers so we made our way to Zachary and had a really great time with the STL's! They are super awesome and I was able to spend the day with Sister Tomblin! She is by far the happiest soul I have ever met! So happy it kind of scares you sometimes but she is an awesome sister and taught me a lot! By the time we got home it was super late (9:30 is super late for me) and we were exhausted and just ready for bed! But we walked into a termite infested home... Probably the worst thing ever!! There were thousands everywhere and I obviously was not calm whatsoever! I am almost positive President Hansen thinks I belong in the nut house after this experience so I am still recovering:)

For anyone planning on travelling Louisiana... NEVER go in May. EVER. 

Apparently there is such thing as "Swarming Season" and it happens in the spring time and lasts for 3-7 days. 

Swarming Season is an absolutely terrifying experience where every single nasty termite in the entire world decides to come out of the ground and trees and wherever the heck they are all at the same exact time and they will find any and every way to get into your house and lights. 

but all they do is annoy you.

They create a nasty bug wall around lights and stuff and get into houses and then they shed their wings and die. thats it.

So. if you can imagine. 

We come home at the end of a really long day and all we want to do is plan, take showers, and fall into bed.

Instead we come home, open the door, and scream because there is 5 billion dead (and some alive) termites inside our house.

etc, etc.... 

must I go on. 

It was probably the worst experience of my life.

Luckily we have some amazing ward members who love and care about us and we were able to stay in the most beautiful mansion ever! So it turned from something terrible into the best two nights of sleep of my life so I am no longer complaining:) For now we just sweep up all the bugs and vacuum every chance we get! But we are hoping we are getting a new apartment soon due to this crazy fiasco!

Since it is transfer week we have been saying a lot of goodbyes to people since Sister Belnap is leaving and I am so sad! It has been so fun but she is moving on to bigger and better things as an STL so I will be getting a new companion tomorrow! So start praying for her now pleassseee:) 

Sorry this is so short and not so missionaryey because we have obviously had our hands full! But I hope y'all have the best week ever and know that I love and miss you all so much!

Taryn is getting a new companion this week.  Here are the sweet things Sister Belnap wrote to her family.

I love my companion! I adore Sister Steve so much. She started as a daughter but she has grown and changed so much and is now ending as someone that I really learn from. Seeing her progression has been so cool and I know that she will do absolutely amazing with taking over Covington and taking care of everyone here. She is such an amazing sister and person I'm so so happy that we are friends for life now! I'm gong to miss her so much and I have loved getting to know everything about her.
