We figured out this week why Louisiana is the "largest" state in the United States... Everything is drive through! Drive through car washes, restaurants, dry cleaning, shopping places, and everything you could really possibly imagine. The second reason is everything you eat is soaked in so much fat... Nothing people cook down here isn't fatty and has under a thousand calories but it tastes a million times better for some reason! This is why I think Louisiana is my new favorite state.. Drive through everything and amazing food:) what more could a girl ask for?
It has been a really busy week but it has been so rewarding! We had a referral we received last week and we decided to check it out the next day because we were so excited and felt really prompted to go! We were able to meet Miss Jeannette:) She is elderly lady who recently has lost a lot of loved ones and hasn't been able to find peace in her religion or really anything in that matter! Her cousin is LDS and she always noticed how happy and nice he was and so decided to ask him about us! She had so many questions for him that he decided to refer her to the missionaries! She was blown away that we literally came the very next day and was so open and loving towards us!
We started out with teaching her the Restoration and it was the most powerful lesson that we have had so far! The spirit was so strong and Jeannette was just blown away by the overwhelming spirit that she felt! She knew what we were saying was true and she is so eager to learn more! It really is so exciting and we are so happy for her!
It is just a testament that God is preparing so many people and putting them into our path for a reason! So many people are striving to find something good and something that brings them hope and that is just what the gospel is doing for these people! Its pretty amazing to see what this gospel can do for other people but as well as yourself! It is so amazing and I love it more then i ever thought imaginable! I never knew something so hard could be so rewarding!
