I never thought in a million years that I would be a New Orleans Sister but boy am I excited:) I was transferred to the small town of Luling with a new/old companion.. SISTER DAVIS!!! We served with each other exactly a year ago in Covington and this is the FIRST time companions have been put back together in years so we are both really excited to learn more from each other and continue to grow!!
For the past 16 months I have been serving in some of the biggest wards in Louisiana,the best might I add as well, but the BRANCH life is calling my name!! And holy cow do I LOVE IT!!! It is A LOT different then what I am use to and I may still be kinda shell shocked from my first Sunday, but I was so so so impressed as well. The people of Luling have so much to offer and have some of the most solid testimonies I have ever heard. I am so excited to be working with these amazing people and to continue to learn and grow and fall more and more in love with Louisiana and all it has to offer.
Fun facts about Luling...
1. I am surrounded by cajuns and live soooo close to the bayous!
2. There is alligator road kill EVERYWHERE!!!
3. We have a Bible study weekly with the older ladies of the branch and the conversations we have will make your head turn. We definitely put the fun in disfunctional.
4. We have people who pound the pulpit while bearing their testimonies, it was absolutely glorious people.
5. There is NOT a Chickfila or a Target in Luling... I may die. Please pray for me and my sanity.
