This week was full of lots of meetings, exchanges, and end of transfer business! It is always good to see your friends from the mission. They bring me so much happiness and I will forever be grateful for them!
This week also consisted of my favorite lesson of all time. We got a referral from church headquarters from a lady named Miss Undrie who wanted a Book of Mormon, which honestly doesn't happen all that often around here! We told our ward mission leader about it and it turns out it was in the worst part of town.. Glorious!! So he followed us there to make sure we were safe (side note he is my favorite man of ALL time) and even joined in on the lesson with our recent convert Brother Frank and us! It turns out to be a whole family of extremely Christian backgrounds and they were all happy to see us "church people" out spreading the word! Her nephews house had just burnt down the day before we got there and instead of us starting out with throwing the gospel out with them we offered to help first. The whole feeling/setting of the lesson changed and there was a spirit and a love there that truly was second to none. We were able to testify of the Book of Mormon and relate it back to her and her needs at this time. Brother Frank was just converted from the SAME church she attends and was able to relate to her and even sang her favorite song for her.
As we all sat around her front porch listening to Brother Frank sing those old Southern Baptists songs, feeling the spirit, sharing our common belief in our Savior, Jesus Christ, I couldn't help but realize these are the days, these are the instances that make me fall more and more in love with my mission. These are the days that I am going to remember for the rest of my life. I love my mission and these people more then I could ever possibly explain. If the mission has taught me anything its love. Love for the gospel, love for God's children, and learning how to love every single day no matter what life throws at me. I love y'all and can never thank you enough for YOUR love!!
The last selfie of the transfer! I am gonna miss my Moana!!
