Good Things Comin'

It's been a pretty dang good week here in the promised land of Albany. Sister Bankston, who is a member of our ward, got a hold of us and told us that her little girl Charli wanted to start taking the lessons! Score!! A couple months after she turned eight she asked her mom why she wasn't baptized and has been begging ever since so we get the awesome privilege of starting to teach her.

After teaching the Restoration to Charli, even though the girl practically taught us, we asked her if she knew that the things that we taught her were true. With a huge smile on her face she says "Well of course its true!" How simple and powerful a testimony can be. Some people hate teaching anyone under the age of 15 but you know I absolutely love it. I have learned so many things from children that I would never have learned from anywhere else!

Exchanges for the week.. Now that was something!! I got to go with our former member of the trio, Sister Edwards, to good old Denham Springs! Something crazy happened in every appointment that we were in! First appointment.. The lady wants us to cut her hair. Why?... I do not know. Did we do it?... Of course!! It didn't look too bad we were pretty proud of ourselves!! Next stop... A lady with 17 cats and a pet chicken living in her midst asking us if we can help her out a little bit. Don't get me wrong I love people, but sometimes I just wanna have a little intervention and light their house on fire. This was one of those cases. Curse my love for old people. But we helped the cute little lady out and it made her happy so I guess you could say it made up for the nasty situation. Sister Edwards and I are not the brightest of all people and left the lights on the car and ended up killing the battery.. In the pouring rain none the less. So we ended up calling the bishop and having him come jump us! There were sparks and all and I was terrified we were all gonna die but it ended up being the funnest, most entertaining exchange with an amazing sister that I love!!

Good things are comin' here in the land of Louisiana! I am so excited to see what else God has in store for all these amazing people! Have the best week, get rid of all your cats please, and know I love y'all so much!!
