I have done sooo much reflecting on this past year and holy crap was it a good one. Easily the hardest year of my life, full of lots of change, flooding lol, and being outside of my comfort zone. BUT it was by far the greatest year of my life. Full of sooo many memories, endless laughs, serving those around me, and seeing myself draw closer and closer to my Savior Jesus Christ.
I feel like my love, knowledge, and appreciation for my Savior has tripled in size in this past year. I think it's the year I found who I really am and what I really want/expect in life and I know that I could never be able to get here if it weren't for my chance to serve my mission. It is by far one of the greatest blessings to ever happen in my life and I am loving every minute of it. There is truly no place where I would rather be!
This week really was awesome though. Lots of cool experiences and lots of exchanges with the other sisters! I learn so much from every single one of them and feel like I'm learning more from them then they are for me the majority of the time!
First exchange this week was with Sister Uibel in Hammond! She is seriously the funniest person alive and we were able to go and help a hoarder organize her closet... Talk about INSANE!!! It was the most intense closet I have ever seen and there was stuff literally from floor to ceiling that we could barely even open the door. But after a couple of hours and a whole box of trash bags later, that closet looks like it could be in a Home Goods magazine. Just add organizing closets to the list of things I have learned in Louisiana!
Second exchange was with Sister Cornia in Zachary and woaaahhh was that a good time! We literally have had all the same companions but have never been able to serve together so it was fun to finally serve with her and get to know her better. She goes home next transfer so we are still mourning over the fact we can never be companions! She really helped me realize it's okay to be yourself in missionary work and that God called each and every single one of us personally to be OURSELVES!
