Let me take you back to my junior year with the last week of school... Thinking to myself I will NEVER use French again a day in my life. Well boy was I wrong and I am calling myself to repentance now Madame Park!!
Introducing my adorable little Tahitian Sister Putoa!!! I have never met someone so generous. So loving. So spiritual. So excited to share the gospel. Like I often look at her and wonder are you really real? But for reals she is amazing and I know that this area is in need of this awesome Sister. She speaks mostly French so it has been so cool to be able to somewhat communicate with her and translate some things that she may not understand and to get to practice my French that I would "never use." English, Spanish, French.. What's next?:)
We have just been working really hard to turn this area around this week and we did a lot of contacting and tracting. Although we didn't have a ton of success I know that God is preparing people because of our obedience and because of our desires.
But we did have a cool experience that I want to share with y'all! We were tracting and it was hot and no one was letting us in and I was being a negative nancy and was sooo done with the day and was day dreaming of the air conditioning that was waiting for me. But we were bound and determined that someone would let us talk to them so we decided to knock on this one door and the guy answered and he told us he was atheist. I kinda froze and had no clue what to say to that. But I did what it says in D &C 33: 8 "Open your mouth and it shall be filled." I opened my mouth not sure what the heck was going to come out but I was able to testify to him. I don't really know what I said but he is now wanting to know more about our beliefs.
I know that God blesses us and gives us the Spirit as long as we have the courage to open our mouths and declare the gospel to His children. I love y'all so much and am grateful for your love and for your example. have the best week!
Her first Chick-fil-a visit so I had to take her!
