Once in a Lifetime

District P-Day at the Sant house in Baton Rouge
Steve Bennett's sister that lives in Baton Rouge.  Taryn met her during clean up.  They are in the same ward now and her husband is in the quorum of the seventy.

Hello to all my amazing family and friends!! Its been another great week here in the great state of Louisiana! I have a super full and happy heart this week and can't even begin the express the gratitude and love that I have been feeling this past week and I would love to tell y'all about it!

First off.. Can i just tell y'all that I love people so much?? Like holy cow there are some amazing people in this world who are so selfless and are so willing to help the people of Louisiana out and I was able to see so many of them this weekend. Over 4000 volunteers came to the state of Louisiana for another weekend of service and we did some serious work! They came from Texas, Georgia, the Carolina's, and I even met some people from Blackfoot, Idaho who know my family! But it was an amazing experience to be apart of such a huge work force that literally have helped so many people of Louisiana. So many people see us in our yellow Mormon Helping Hands shirts and thank us for all the work that we've been doing and how much we have helped these communities. It is amazing to be apart of and is a really humbling experience. It's crazy how we are literally dripping in sweat, covered in all sorts of nastiness, and still could never be happier. That's when you know you are doing something right in this world!

But another AMAZING experience I got to have this week was seriously Louisiana's own little general conference.. We were so blessed to have President Russel M. Nelson, Elder M. Russel Ballard, Elder Richard J. Maynes, Bishop Dean M. Davies, and Sister Marriott. Can you say the greatest day ever or what?!?! I was super pumped and literally got so many amazing things from them. I was even super blessed and was able to talk to them a little and shake their hands. I literally considered not washing my hand but then realized the amount of nastiness that we are working with and thought well... Better not! But all jokes aside it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. Being in the presence of God's servants brings a spirit that you can no deny that they are Men of God ( and woman;)).

I hope y'all continue to have amazing weeks ahead and know that I love and miss you all so much!! Thanks for all the love and support!! Much love y'all!!
