Blessings

Hey y'all! I hope your week has been nothing but amazing because mine sure has!

This week was kind of just a huge testimony builder for me! Nothing huge or extremely exciting but I have been able to really rely on my Savior and count on him when I need him most!

Let's be real. Sometimes the mission is really hard, life is hard. Things happen and you can't help it! It's in  those times and those moments when turning towards your Savior is the greatest thing you can ever do! I have relied so much on my Savior and have never appreciated His Atonement more and knowing that He knows me and knows what I go through!

Its kind of crazy when you fully submerge yourself into the Lord's work and forget yourself, that is when you are able to see major blessings! This week we were able to set TWO baptismal dates for people and are so excited! There hasn't been a baptism here in over a year and the fact that we get two in one month is pretty amazing! So obviously we are pretty excited and can see God blessing us with such amazing people as long as we are focused on his work!

The local high school here has recently had three suicides and the whole town has taken it really hard! But it has been an awesome opportunity for us to talk about the Plan of Salvation and about eternal families! People find it so amazing and has been a huge comfort for some people! How lucky are we to have that knowledge and blessing to know that we can see our loved ones again someday?

I'm so grateful to have the knowledge of the gospel and to be able to share it with others. I know that there is nothing greater then seeing the gospel change someones life. I have seen it change my life as well and couldn't be more grateful for it! I hope y'all have a great week and know someone is Louisiana loves you:)

Sister Stevenson felt bad that Elder Ross does not have anyone to email on Mondays so she asked some of her family to email him.  This is an email he wrote to Sue.

Thank you so much for your email! It's been amazing to have served around Sis. Stevenson. She truly is a great missionary. Her trainer and her always lead this district in lessons taught and investigators at church and people on date for baptism. Sometimes even in hours doing community service! You raised up one great Lady. When I get a little more time I'll email you about my family as you have done. Thank you for that. I feel like a friend already. But really quick, I'm from Mesa, Arizona! Grew up mostly on my home reservation and on the Salt River Pima Maricopa Indian Community. Which is also a reservation. My home rez is The Navajo Nation. I am Navajo. My older Sister first joined the church because her husband was a less active member. They were married 16 years ago. Now their family is sealed in the Temple and her husband is the Bishop of my Home Ward. I got out on the mission late. At 26. So now I'm about to head home at 28. It's fun being so much older than most of the missionaries. I'll tell them I saw the First Jurassic Park in theaters. Twice... You must be a great Mother to have such a great daughter. My own Mother is not a member yet. And she did they best she could with what she had! My first house I remember growing up in was out in the sticks like your home. Except we didn't have running water or electricity. Yeah we were OUT in the sticks!!! Haha! Hope you have a good day. Thanks again for the email!

Your Friend,
Elder Ross
