It's been a different week, but a very good week as well! We got a call from President (the scariest thing ever) so we are automatically assuming we did something wrong or someone died but to our surprise it was the best thing ever. We get to have the one and only SISTER EDWARDS for a week!! Not gonna lie I was totally nervous about a trio because I have heard horror stories about them, but it has been one of the greatest weeks of my mission. We have laughed non stop, have managed not to freak too many people out with three Mormon nuns on the loose, and have became the best of friends.
Earlier this week our mission got the amazing opportunity to hear from Elder Golden from the Quorum of the Seventy and wow was that an amazing experience. It was awesome to learn from him and be able to get so many things to help us out on missionaries! Plus I got to see all my friends in the mission so that's always a bonus right?:)
Exchanges in Amite: That was a long 24 hours but hey good things happened!! Some people believe in tracting for hours on end, and when I say that I mean all day, not my idea of making time effective but hey I was just along for the ride! But it turned into an awesome experience that turned into no tracting just simply following up with people and being able to have some amazing lessons! Not to mention a LEGIT zebra on the side of the road.. Only Louisiana!
I don't know if I have told y'all about Miss Julia but she is also on date for baptism February 25th! We are super excited for her! We knew that she would struggle with the Word of Wisdom lesson and so we decided to wait to drop the bomb until we thought she was fully ready. But we both decided this week that we should just drop that bomb now. Sooo we did... My heart was pounding just waiting for her to be like "Bye Felicia" but she instead looked at us and said "I know this is right. I know this is going to be hard but I know this is what God wants me to do." I literally about fell over. She continues to amaze me and just makes me realize that God is preparing these people far more then we ever are. It's not so much what we think is right for her but what God thinks is best for her and it was a lesson I was happy to learn.
I love y'all so much and am grateful for the people you are and difference you make in my life!
