For Thanksgiving we were yet again #savedbythesants and had an amazing Thanksgiving breakfast! I seriously love them like my own family. But I think the highlight of my day was having Thanksgiving dinner at the Richard's.
I don't think I have ever told you about them so let me explain.. Shane Richard is currently our investigator and has been for the last six months. Leesa (who is an active member) and him have been married just over a year and seriously have become some of my greatest friends/blessings. When I first met Shane he was reluctantly coming to church, and was honestly just being "nice" to us and listening to us to keep the peace with his wife. But in the last month I have seen seriously one of the greatest miracles in my life.
Shane is now reading the Book of Mormon daily, comes to church weekly and actually listens during the lessons, wants to start paying tithing, prays IN FRONT OF US (its a big deal trust me), and has been more and more open to the thought of baptism! I know that in this case it is all in God's timing but wow. I am seriously so grateful to actually be seeing this first hand and to see his heart soften as the weeks go by.
He called us the other day and told us he got a raise and he knows its because he has been feeding us weekly and that he is getting those missionary blessings! The Richard family.. Now they are one of the reasons I know I was meant to come to Louisiana to find and make life long friendships that will last a lifetime.
I love being able to be a missionary and see God's hand change those I love every single day. I hope y'all have the best week and know how much I love all of you!!
