So I wanted to tell y'all a little experience that we had this week! Two days a week we volunteer at the local food bank and it is seriously soooo much fun. I will forever be obsessed with doing service, the mission has changed me I know. But anyways we have been able to talk with a couple people who work there about the gospel and clarify a bunch of their questions!
We come back this week and Mark, the guy who works there, comes up and literally starts telling us everything about our church. Correct things too and was seriously blown away at everything our church does/believes in. We had an awesome conversation about the gospel and talked about how he went home and did his homework on us. He was especially amazed at the service our church offers and what we do as missionaries.
He shared a part of his life with us and how he had everything he ever wanted in life. An extremely nice job, house, cars, girls would swoon to him, literally everything he could ever want. But he wasn't happy so he left that life and made his way to running the food bank. He said when he was helping others that's when he found his life and found what happiness really was.
I have seen that in my own life. I had a lot of things going for me in life and I was happy. But it wasn't until now that I finally realized what true happiness is. There is nothing better then sharing the message and the light that comes through living the gospel. There is no better feeling then giving up part of your life to give someone else the life they deserve.
I love the gospel. I love my Savior. I love being a missionary. Hope y'all have the best Thanksgiving and find what truly matters most in life! Much love y'all!!
Chick-fil-a makes everything better
